Long term:
We have 5 committees, which all need help:
1. Logistics: Contact Kay Ellison, (360)696-4840
Arrange help for the short-term projects listed below.
2. Stage: Help with pulling off the entertainment for the event! Contact stage committee Joan Sterr (360)892-4665
3. Publicity: Help get the word out!

4. Exhibits and Sponsors:
a. Contact to have an exhibit: Den Mark Wichar (360)694-3703
Exhibits:Help line up groups that would like to have an exhibit space at the fair. Direct them to the website: www.vancouverforpeace.org, or give them a printed form to send in.
b. Contact to become a sponsor: Mike Ellison (360)696-4840
Sponsors: Ask people, businesses and organizations, if they would like to contribute money to help pull this off. Direct them to the website www.vancouverforpeace.org or give them a printed form to send it.
5. Children's Committee:
Contact children's committee: Kay Ellison (360)696-4840. Help arrange for any ideas you have! We would like storytellers, people to read books aloud, face painters, tables for kids to cut, paste, color, etc. We need people to volunteer at each table.

Short term:
The weeks before the fair:
1. Make signs advertising the fair to be put up the day before the fair.
2. Make or borrow some sandwich board signs.
3. Put flyers up in various locations. See map to choose area.
The day before the fair:
1. Set up some sandwich board signs around Esther Short Park and on freeway offramps to advertise the fair. See map of where to put them.

The day of the fair we need:
1. Set up some sandwich boards around Esther Short Park and freeway offramps to advertise fair.
2. Put a sign for the Peace and Justice Fair on your car, park near Esther Short.
3. Set up the boundary markers for the exhibit booths.
4. Help exhibitors find their spaces.
5. Help with electricity for various booths.
6. First-aid/lost children table: Help set up such a table.
7. Be a medical person for the first-aid/lost and found table.
8. Garbage detail/Peacekeepers. This dual role allows you to be busy even if there is no trouble! Walk around, making sure people are happy, and empty a garbage can when it is full. Take a shift of 2 hours.
9. Help with trash/clean up detail at the end of the day.
10. For the day, bring your pick-up truck for us to put the garbage sacks in, take them to the dump the next day. We'll give you money to pay at the dump.
11. Set up children's craft booths, and storyteller's area.
12. Help with children's booths for a few hours.
13. Set up "Hyde Park"Speaker's Corner, with soap box and microphone. (We'll supply the equipment.)
14. Moderate "Hyde Park" Speaker's Corner, taking a shift for part of the day.
15. Take down "Hyde Park" Speaker's Corner, putting soap box and microphone in designated car.
16. Help set up "John Denver Memorial Peace Cloth."
17. Be a tour guide for the Peace Cloth, helping tell some of the stories of different sections of this large quilted cloth. Take a shift for part of the day.
18. Help take down the Peace Cloth.
19. Pick up the sandwich board signs advertising fair. See map of where they are.
